American Natural Premium was founded in 1998 by Jennifer Burlo and Gene Large. Both animal lovers, they already owned and ran Riverview kennel on the beautiful Milwaukee River in rural Wisconsin. They were disappointed with the existing selection of pet foods as the foods seemed to be either overpriced or filled with inexpensive, unnatural products.

So, they took it upon themselves to improve the lives of pets – both their own and those of their customers – by creating a delicious, natural, and high-quality pet food using three core principles: American made, uses real natural ingredients, and provides premium-quality nutrition.

To help satisfy your pups chewing needs, our search took us to India where these incredibly large water buffalos (bison) are found roaming freely and grazing on the rich grasslands or submerged in water, raising their heads above thriving on edible plants.
